After 2 months of intense lessons, I passed my PRACTICAL DRIVING TEST ( first try ) TODAY!

I’m downing a big cup of Beetroot & pineapple juice right now… all thanks to Gerry who has unwittingly got me back on track with my health juice regime, with her amazing blog and pics!!

so, there are tons of things running through my head now…

I think I’ll list them:

1) I want a home of my own by next year max.

2) I want to be able to talk less when the urge in me strikes to talk nonstop

3) I want to be able to not zone out so much when I am tired. I tend to just drift off in my mind and than I don’t know what’s going on…

4) Pray that Mas can find a stable job so that he can be around more. Lately, his travelling has been almost every single week. Its irritating the shit out of me cause half the time he isn’t around and when he is, he’s busy with everything and has lesser time for me

5) Start a family soon

6) Pray for more stability in the business. Future plans are to build the brand, import established brands and to go big in a few years

7) Take more time out for my frivolous hobbies, cause they make me happy and these frivolous stuff stimulates my mind in a positive way

Be more patient

9) Be more kind

10) Spend more time with my family

The days been a pretty unfruitful one. I had to work and Mas is stuck at home doing a home makeover under the watchful eyes of his mom.  These past few weekends have been really tiring. I haven’t had time to just do nothing.

The past few nights, I haven’t been sleeping well at all.

Lighting and thunder creep up on my beauty rest in the middle of the night and its really scary cause it looks and sounds like a thunderstorm!

I’ve never seen a thunderstorm before but this rainy weather is so frightful. Its so LOUD and its so VIOLENT… … Its unlike a normal heavy downpour or the tropical monsoon weather. In my books, I classify the recent weather as a thunderstorm. I don’t care for the proper definition.

I’ve jumped up from slumber and  panicked as I watched the rain outside… Then I look at Mas who sleeps like a bloody log and I really think to myself

: “ men are such pigs…. keke… I guess if this were the last day on planet earth, I would kiss him good night and just cover myself with the sheets and everything would be noisy and then GONE in an instant.”

Such fatalistic thoughts on a beautiful saturday morning.

If I sound nuts, blame thunder & lighting & the terrible timing of the rainy weather……

It’s a Friday. Its going to be a long weekend again.

I will be off to collect the newly designed name cards in a bit.

I want to catch STAR TREK very badly cause my brother told me it rocks! so I’m giving Wolverine a miss, probably catch it when its out on DVD!

Onto a very prickly subject of a special and oh so prickly fruit : Mr Pineapple:

My dad’s long time friend, a health geek, recently exposed his elixir of youth, to be a simple and very widely available fruit, the PINEAPPLE.

He cited health benefits such as taut skin, better assimilation of heavy foods, slimmer frame and better overall health.

When someone makes such ludicrous statement about such a simple fruit. It makes you take notice. I for one, started to scrutinize his skin, and his health and his general look. Well, simply put, it is WORKING WONDERS FOR HIM. He is CLOSE TO 60, has very little fine lines or saggy skin on his face and neck, he is in great shape and can cycle for miles in this very hot weather, he speaks very well meaning his mental state is very sound. MY GOD! IS PINEAPPLE A HIDDEN GEM IN OUR KITCHENS?

I for one have been on this natural juice regiment for about a month. Working with my dad means my health is top priority because he cares for his workers productivity and likes us to in prime health. Well, my personally experience taking pineapple juice on a daily basis, was that I didn’t feel that lethargic initially and I didn’t wake up in the mornings with bloatedness.  The pineapple juice gave me mentally stamina that lasted for hours and made me hungry very quickly. I was eating and eating and eating…. I don’t think that’s the intended effect but I think it helped digest my food really fast, as a result I got hungry faster.

The end results after a month of daily pineapple juice ( I occassionally mixed in some apple and celery or beet root )  was increased resistence to the common sickness.I fought off sickness, still got sick but the duration of sickness was much shorter. Beware though, your stool can become pretty soft and the pineapple juice can make you hungrier or curb your appetite. The end result was that I did lose some weight and my stomach was feeling a tad bit too acidic.  My recommendation is not a daily dose of P J, but to take it on days when you have had too much oily and meaty foods. This juice will aid in digestion.

With regards to the beauty part, pineapple enzyme was what BIOSKIN used on me when I went for facials. So you go FIGURE<!!!

I think I will try some pineapple masks soon….. Oh la Lah

Hi everyone who bothers to read this blog.

I know its been quite some time since I blogged about anything and usually I love to blog about music, to show you guys what I’ve been listening to …. But  I haven’t really done tat as well…

Why?

I don’t know.  I guess life has been quite a whirlwind lately. Work is my life for the moment. I don’t deny being a workaholic or being a loner because of my work commitments. I am seizing this moment of owning my work and being in the control seat instead of always being the underling. I’m sure most of you know what I’m talking about. Bosses who ask for opinions but never take your advice, feeling like you are just an employee destined to forever more file stacks and stacks of papers and always murmuring the same  ” yes, yes,yes” ….The bitch list goes on….

My point is, I can’t believe my life has turned a 360 in a month. I have not been thrown to the deep waters unlike my previous job because much care has been shown to me by my boss. However, there is a downside in that I am learning at a slower than normal pace because this job is not a typical type job. The knowledge takes a longer time to accumulate and has to be learnt only during real projects.As such, the nature of my job isn’t structured to allow me to learn as quickly as I would like.

On the other hand, I have honestly put in a tremendous amount of effort into redirecting resources, redecoration, revamping and restyling the business. It’s been a collaborative effort and we have indeed reaped some rewards from it. Business has been ” Pretty Excellent” for a freshie like me. Also, I never thought this would happen, but the business is pretty much a real family unit now. My father, brother and myself are all in it and the carpenter crew are pretty much family as they have been with the company since I was just an infant. They watched me from a toddler, to an adolescent to an adult. To say they are less than family would be simply untruthful.

So, I am relishing in the beauty of growing a family business and setting aims and goals, so that my dad can be proud of his children.

He’s done so much for us, it’s time for us to take care of him and the business

I’ll try to blog more as I feel constantly inspired by beautiful designs and aesthetics I am surrounded by and I would love to share them with you.

It’s great to work in a beautiful environment everyday.
